1. In short
This site uses no cookies of its own. There are no analytics tools, no profiling, no advertising, and your movements between pages are not recorded.
The only third party is the Google map on the contact page. That is why the banner you see on arriving at the site asks one thing only: whether or not to load that map.
2. What cookies are
They are small files that a site saves on your device. They serve to remember information between one visit and the next: preferences, the contents of a basket, or — in the cases the law makes subject to consent — the pages you have visited, in order to build a profile of your interests.
3. The only exception: the map
The Contact page embeds a Google Maps map showing where we are. When the map loads, Google may install third-party cookies and receive your IP address. These are Google’s cookies, not ours: we have no access to them.
Until you accept, the map is not loaded at all: the browser does not contact Google and no cookie is installed. If you decline, a panel with our address remains in place of the map. To find out more you can read Google’s page on cookies.
You can change your mind at any time: the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page brings the banner back.
4. The provider’s technical cookies
The service hosting the site may use strictly technical cookies to distribute traffic and protect the infrastructure. They require no consent because without them the site could not work, and they are not used to recognise you.
5. Where your choice is stored
The answer you give the banner is saved in your browser, not on a server of ours, and expires after six months. It is not a tracking cookie: it merely avoids asking you the same thing on every page.

If in future we decide to measure visits, we will update this page and the banner will ask for consent for those too, before any non-technical cookie is installed.
